Basement

Well the basement is moving along even though it does not seem like it. I finally got the tape and texture done. It was almost enough for me to walk away from the project but I am starting to feel a little better about it now that we are starting to paint. I am in the middle of priming the walls for paint and the doors are being delivered today. I am going to be going out to get the trim, vanity and tile that I am going to need today also. I am hoping to get the trim up and get the basement painted within the next week we shall see.

Surgery

Tiawna had surgery on the 30th. She did very well considering everything. We went up to the Springs the day before the surgery for the pre-op appts. We arrived at her Doctors office about 20 minutes before her appt. Well we finally left after 2 and 1/2 hours of waiting without ever seeing the doctor. So we drove home and got some sleep for her surgery. They moved her sugery up two hours. We had to be there at 1030 and she was supposed to go back to the OR at 1230. They actually got her back early, The surgeon came and talked to us right before that and he said that it should be an easy procedure and he expected her to be out in about an hour. So I go out to the waiting room and John came over to hang out with me. SO we hung out got lunch and talked. SO after 3 hours I started getting a little nervous, The doctor finally came out and talked to me 3 1/2 hours after she went back. He said that he was sorry for not informing me of what was going on but that as soon as he opened her up he knew that it was going to take a lot longer than he thought. He showed me the pictures of the surgery and told me that she had blood in her hip socket. Im guessing from her fall. So finally around 730 pm that night we finally started making the trip back home. Tiawna slept most of the way home. She is doing better and better everyday. Today so far has been good she is in a lot less pain and is able to get around a little better.

Christmas

Well I get to spend Christmas at the fire station. We did our Christmas yesterday and the kids had a very good time. I was a little surprised in the morning I figured that it would be the kids waking me up but it was actually my wife. After we opened the gifts we had breakfast and the kids got to spend most of the day playing with all of their new toys. Afound 4 we left and went to Suzannes house and did christmas with Tiawnas family. We had a good dinner then it was time for the gifts, WOW, insane we did not get done until 930. needless to say I was very tired, the kids were tired, I spent the night before up most of the night putting together a basketball hoop together that we bought the kids so put the kids to bed then me to bed, I hope that today is a slow day and I get to relax.

Snow Day

Hockey

Well its hockey time again. We have our first hockey games of the season, and of course I have a cough that I cannot kick. feels like I am hacking up a lung. Worked yesterday, and we were not too busy my capt had FF1 practicals so he was gone from 9 am until 730 pm. We were lucky enough to get up three times last night so I think I will be taking a nap with Ben today.
Woke up to smow this morning of course because it was the one day that I could put up the christmas lights.

If it is not too cold tonight we are going to go out and find a real tree to put in our house this year. I cant wait for the smell of the tree to fill my house.

Electric Critters

Last night we went to the Pueblo Zoo for a birthday party. After the birthday party we got to take the kids around the zoo to look at all of the lights. The kids had a very good time, the weather was nice a little cold but nothing a little hot chocolate could not fix.

Thanksgiving was a good time, we went to Joy's for breakfast, we were able to stay there for a while and visit with everyone. The weather was awesome we got to go out and through the football for a while. It was very nice to visit with everyone. We left Joys and went straight to Tiawna's families get together. We got there around 2 and stayed until around 5 or 6. All together it was a nice relaxing day.

I have spent the last two or three days trying to kick a cold or something. I spent most of the day yesterday just relaxing, I almost did not go to work today, but I woke up feeling a little better today.

I am hoping to start working on the taping in the basement wed or thursday. Tiawna's uncle is going to help me do it, So it will be nice to get one step closer. I will lpost some more pics or thanksgiving and everything soon.
