Christmas

Well I get to spend Christmas at the fire station. We did our Christmas yesterday and the kids had a very good time. I was a little surprised in the morning I figured that it would be the kids waking me up but it was actually my wife. After we opened the gifts we had breakfast and the kids got to spend most of the day playing with all of their new toys. Afound 4 we left and went to Suzannes house and did christmas with Tiawnas family. We had a good dinner then it was time for the gifts, WOW, insane we did not get done until 930. needless to say I was very tired, the kids were tired, I spent the night before up most of the night putting together a basketball hoop together that we bought the kids so put the kids to bed then me to bed, I hope that today is a slow day and I get to relax.

Snow Day

Hockey

Well its hockey time again. We have our first hockey games of the season, and of course I have a cough that I cannot kick. feels like I am hacking up a lung. Worked yesterday, and we were not too busy my capt had FF1 practicals so he was gone from 9 am until 730 pm. We were lucky enough to get up three times last night so I think I will be taking a nap with Ben today.
Woke up to smow this morning of course because it was the one day that I could put up the christmas lights.

If it is not too cold tonight we are going to go out and find a real tree to put in our house this year. I cant wait for the smell of the tree to fill my house.

Electric Critters

Last night we went to the Pueblo Zoo for a birthday party. After the birthday party we got to take the kids around the zoo to look at all of the lights. The kids had a very good time, the weather was nice a little cold but nothing a little hot chocolate could not fix.

Thanksgiving was a good time, we went to Joy's for breakfast, we were able to stay there for a while and visit with everyone. The weather was awesome we got to go out and through the football for a while. It was very nice to visit with everyone. We left Joys and went straight to Tiawna's families get together. We got there around 2 and stayed until around 5 or 6. All together it was a nice relaxing day.

I have spent the last two or three days trying to kick a cold or something. I spent most of the day yesterday just relaxing, I almost did not go to work today, but I woke up feeling a little better today.

I am hoping to start working on the taping in the basement wed or thursday. Tiawna's uncle is going to help me do it, So it will be nice to get one step closer. I will lpost some more pics or thanksgiving and everything soon.

Basement

I am at work today, it has been a steady day, had a three hour hazmat class, then a few calls, then a few inspections, then a few more calls, and so on. Hoping for a quiet night I am going to try to finish hanging the drywall in the basement tomorrow. I only have the closet left to do. I am so close I can see it but just cant seem to find the time to do it. We shall see, I will post some pics if I can get it all done.

Spent the morning playing racquetball at the gym with a friend, after that I went home and got ready to go have lunch with Tiawna and Janelle. We went to Applebees which was completely packed. They were giving veterans and military free lunch. we had a 35 minute wait. But it was nice spending the time with them. After lunch I went home and spent the next 3 hours in the basement, I ran out of drywall so I had to stop and clean up. So 50 sheets and I am still not done. Ugh. I is definitely coming along but I want to be done already. While I was cleaning up the guys from our home builder showed up to fix our back sliding glass door that has been broke for three weeks now. Good thing it was not an emergency. It is very nice to have it fixed it has been an absolute pain getting the dogs in and out of the backyard. Well that is all for now I am beat going to go relax for the night.

Work work work

At the station today. Started off bad from the moment I walked in the door. We were supposed to have class today and we scheduled our pumper to get work done while we were at class. So of course our class got moved, so instead of being able to just drop off the truck we had to change over to a spare. So we got to move all of our equipment over to a spare, the shops had it all day and come to find out they could not fix anything that we asked them to fix. BUT they were able to fix a light on the dashboard that would not turn off. Big deal.

I have been in a bad mood all day with some stuff that is going on with the kids. I am going to call off from an AMR shift that I am supposed to work on thursday. I am really looking forward to two days off. I want to go in the basement and disappear and just work down there.
An update on the basement I have all of the ceiling done and all of the bathroom is done. I also have all of the room when you come down the stairs done. So it is getting close I cant wait to see it done.

Magazine

While we were at the harley davidson store for the fashion show, one of our friends brought us a magazine that had Tiawna and I on the cover. Fashion show

Tiawna had her photo shoots and fashion show yesterday. The day started off with her meeting all the girls involved and all of them getting their makeup and hair done at a salon. After that it was off to the photo shoot in a limo. The photo shoot lasted a couple of hours. She did very well a little nervous at first but looked great. After the shoot was over it was alomost 5 so we went out and got something to eat with everyone and then it was off to her fashion show. The fashion show started at 7 and lasted about an hour. again she looked amazing like she has been doing stuff like this forever. After that ended we were both exhausted and came home and sat in the hot tub for a little bit. She was very excited and had a blast doing it. She is suppossed to be getting a cd of all the pictures and start a portfolio for her. I will try to post some of the pictures if I can.

Basketball

Well today Tiawna was off work and we got Ali off to school, I worked in the basement for an hour or two and then we headed up to the springs and all went to the Y woth John. Got to play a couple hours worth of B Ball. Had a great time although I dont think I played all that great, but it was nice to spend some time together. Now its time for dinner and baths then off to bed with the little ones.

School

Well after only sleeping from about 2am to 6am this morning at work, I came home to a very sad little girl that did not want to go to school for some reason. I am not sure what happened at their mom's but something happened I have never had troubles like this with her. After about a half hour of her crying and saying that I make her sad, I finally got her settled down and off to school. Now I need to get ready and take Ben to the dentist. Should be interesting he didnt like it last time. Then its off to get more sheetrock for the basement. I hope this morning is as interesting as my day gets. We'll see.
